Scotland in July & Podcast updates

Travel to Scotland

Last Saturday I flew out to Scotland to finalize bottling of Whispering Waters first release. But this was after a four day delay, anyone else impacted by the global cloudstrike event?

Scotland in July is absolutely Magnificent for many reasons. I don't think most of us know how high up in latitude the country actually is. Sunset was past 10 PM and sunrise close to 5 AM, but it didn't truly get dark until around 1 am, and then not for long as it the bluish night sky started a mere two hours later. How do I know this?

Well I went secondarily for filming and photographing the beauty of Scotland for the Whispering Waters brand. That was an absolute success. More to come on that with some upcoming videos.

TWL Youtube Podcast

It's been some time since we did an episode, two months now. Two months ago was supposed to be when we launched, quite an arbitrary date, but we flipped the switch to go all in on productions and process building at the expense of time planning podcast episodes. That changes in August with our next session being filmed at Untitled Supper Club in Chicago Illinois with our brand strategist.

Whispering Waters

"Why has it taken so long to get this product bottled?!"

This was such a learning process for us at The Whiskey Lab, but we've honed this process and have it down pact. How it works:

  1. Obtain Liquid - You need whisky to bottle
  2. Get Licensed - Government approval to be a part of the business
  3. Dry Goods - items necessary to bottle the liquid
  4. Partnerships - Label makers, bottling lines, importers, distributors, retail agreements
  5. Label approvals - Biggest roadblock - The government must approve every single alcohol label for products sold in the USA. This four day processing time has now taken 7 weeks. We've been assure its coming any day now.

Thats the big picture view. The reality is we now are owners of five total casks which we will be bottling over time. We've gone through label development, bottle selection, all other dry goods, scheduled bottling on a production line, lined up air frieght shipping, established accounts at warehouses, set up a distribution pipeline, and collaborated on a store front.

This is ALL to streamline getting amazing product to you. To make it easy for you.
We can't thank you enough for the pre-orders, and we can't wait for those to be delivered to your doorstep.

THUS, the updates:

  1. Bottling is scheduled for August 12-14
  2. Air Freight will commence within 48 hours after completion
  3. Product will go through customs and get to our delivery centers within 72 hours of that
  4. Deliveries will take 3-4 business days for our first output.

DELIVERY ETA THE WEEK OF AUGUST 26!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
