Distilled on April 15, 2013, this whisky was reracked into a 1st fill oloroso in May 2021 to heighten its sherry influence. At 59.3% ABV, this "sherry bomb" delivers a bold yet harmonious profile, balancing intense dark fruits with spices and sweetness. Cask Influence

Finished in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead, this whisky exemplifies the bold richness of sherry cask maturation. The cask imparts an indulgent array of dark fruits—blackberries, raisins, and plums—along with complementary layers of toffee, chocolate, and warm spices. The extended rerack period allowed the sherry's complexity to fully integrate with Dalrymple’s smooth, approachable spirit, resulting in a robust yet balanced dram.

Tasting Notes

Nose

A rich and "thick" aroma of dark maple syrup, treacle, and dark berries immediately fills the senses. Wood spices, cinnamon, cloves, and a hint of dark chocolate add depth and warmth.

Palate

Dominated by dark fruits and berries, with blackberries, red currants, raisins, and plums coating the palate. Hints of toffee, chocolate, and cinnamon create a well-rounded, lingering finish.
