Distinctive Features of Distillation:

• Triple Distillation: Auchentoshan is one of the only Scotch distilleries to employ a full triple distillation method. This technique enhances the purity of the spirit, giving it a delicate complexity and exceptionally smooth finish.

• Lowland Provenance: Situated near Glasgow, Auchentoshan's spirit is influenced by the mild and damp Scottish climate, contributing to its gentle and approachable character.

Exceptional Cask Influence:

• Finished in Virgin Oak: This 15-year-old whisky has been carefully finished in a virgin oak cask, which impart a subtle sweetness and creamy texture, enriching the whisky with flavors of vanilla and coconut. This is not the norm for Scotland, thus this was checked routinely to ensure the whiskey didn’t get “over-oaked”. 

Nose

The aroma offers a refreshing zest of grapefruit and lemon, layered with hints of almond and cinnamon, creating an inviting and vibrant bouquet.

Palate

Smooth and light with a creamy texture; it unfolds with flavors of green apple and citrus, followed by a subtle nuttiness and sweet oak undertones.
